Light for My Path Daily Devotion
Bible Reading
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was undeveloped and empty. Darkness covered the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good. He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” There was evening and there was morning—the first day. (Genesis 1:1-5 EHV)

Father, who the light this day
Out of darkness didst create,
Shine upon us now, we pray,
While within Thy courts we wait;

Prayer
Heavenly Father, through Your Word, all things came to be. Through that same Word, continue to enlighten my heart and help me to grow in my faith. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
