During a worship service in the Rajahmundry district of the Lutheran Mission of Salvation - India, the late Rev. G.J.Andnada Raj baptized a baby. While this is not an uncommon event, one fact makes it especially significant: the young mother who brought her baby for the Sacrament of Holy Baptism had been raised as a child in the congregation’s orphan home. There she learned that our loving God “saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3).”
