“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.” (Psalm 46:1-3 ESV)
Gracious Heavenly Father, all things are under your control. 
The weather and all of nature obey your commands. We ask for your mercy on all who live in the path of this hurricane. Grant them safety of body and life. Give them courage to face any problem brought by this storm and remind them of your gracious providence. Grant wisdom and courage to our leaders, to law enforcement and rescue workers, to the National Guard and to all involved in helping others. Use this storm to remind us all of the frailty of life and our need of readiness to meet our Savior. Above all, we ask that your will be done. In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
