Gracious Heavenly Father, we come before you in sorrow and grief as our country once again faces the aftermath of terrible violence. We pray that these events may lead all people to realize their sin and need for a Savior. You alone, O Lord, have the power to change hearts. Grant us, by faith, the strength to share the saving message of salvation in Christ alone as you give us opportunity, that all may know the peace only faith in Him can give. Grant wisdom to our leaders and all who are charged with protecting our physical safety, that we may do Your work in peace. In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
