What is Easter?

Easter is the day Christians celebrate the physical resurrection of Jesus from the dead. After dying on the cross to pay for the sins of the world on Friday, Jesus’ lifeless body remained in the grave until He rose, bodily, from the dead on Sunday.

Why is this so important? Jesus’ physical resurrection proves that He is the Son of God and shows that God accepted the sacrifice made on the cross to pay for our sins. It also proves that we too will rise from the dead on the Last Day.
