Heavenly Father, Creator and Sustainer of all things, we come before You with concern for all those who are suffering from the wildfires in our western states. Relieve their suffering and, if it is Your will, bring the fires to a swift end, that many lives might be spared. Give strength and courage to all those involved in fighting these fires and in rescuing those in danger. Give leaders the wisdom to make decisions that will spare lives and property. And give to all people Your Spirit of peace through faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. In His name we pray. Amen.
