It’s been a few weeks since we have heard about Shalem, the young boy in India who needed our help to receive a liver transplant. We received the following from Pastor Solmon Mamidi today:
December 6, 2013.
Greetings in the Name of our Advent King.
Shalem discharged and getting recover day by day. The family is very happy with Shalem and his mother. They are doing well and recovering day by day. Shalem is going to hospital once in a week for check-up. All his reports are saying good, and recovering day by day. Shalem should be very careful from dust, cold and cough. The family is taking care for Shalem’s health.
Shalem spoke all the time about Jesus in the Hospital. He has a good testimony in the hospital. Among the Christians he speaks all the time about Lutheran Church. He said all the time in the hospital, “ I am proud to be a Lutheran”. He introduced me to many people in the hospital.
The family is very much happy and gratitude towards the donors for Shalem’s surgery. Shalem’s mother said, “ being a mother I gave my liver to my son and all my brothers and sisters of ELS they gave their hearts (Money) to save my sons life.” Thank you all my brothers and sisters for your valuable donations for my son Shalem.
I am enclosed some pictures of shalem with his parents.
In His Serivce,
Pastor Solomon Mamidi
