Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

But our citizenship is in heaven. We are eagerly waiting for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. By the power that enables him to subject all things to himself, he will transform our humble bodies to be like his glorious body. (Philippians 3:20-21 EHV)

Hymn ESV 474:1,3 I’m But a Stranger Here

I’m but a stranger here;
Heaven is my home.
Earth is a desert drear;
Heav’n is my home.
Danger and sorrow stand
Round me on every hand.
Heav’n is my fatherland;
Heav’n is my home.

There at my Savior’s side–
Heaven is my home.
I shall be glorified;
Heav’n is my home.
There are the good and blest,
Those I love most and best,
And there I, too, shall rest;
Heav’n is my home.

Prayer

Jesus, my Savior, thank You for preparing and earning a place for me in Heaven. Amen.
