Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

As for you, continue in the things you have learned and about which you have become convinced. You know from whom you learned them and that from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, well equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:14-17 EHV)

Hymn ELH 232: 1,6 How Precious Is the Book Divine

How precious is the Book Divine,
By inspiration given!
Bright as a lamp its doctrines shine
To guide our souls to heaven,
To guide our souls to heaven.

This lamp through all the dreary night
Of life shall guide our way
Till we behold the clearer light
Of an eternal day,
Of an eternal day.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of Your Word, given by the inspiration of Your Holy Spirit. Help me, through that Word, to be equipped for the good You have planned for me to do in faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
