Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens. Praise him in the heights. Praise him, all his angels. Praise him, all his armies. Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all you bright stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters which are above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the Lord, because he commanded, and they were created. He caused them to stand forever and ever. He gave a decree, and it will not pass away. (Psalm 148:1-6 EHV)

Hymn ELH 14:1 Father, Who the Light This Day

Father, who the light this day
Out of darkness didst create,
Shine upon us now, we pray,
While within Thy courts we wait;
Wean us from the works of night,
Make us children of the light.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, through Your Word, all things came to be. Through that same Word, continue to enlighten my heart and help me to grow in my faith. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
