Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

Therefore, since we have now been justified by his blood, it is even more certain that we will be saved from God’s wrath through him. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, it is even more certain that, since we have been reconciled, we will be saved by his life. And not only is this so, but we also go on rejoicing confidently in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received this reconciliation. (Romans 5:9-11 EHV)

Hymn ELH 227:1,13 Salvation Unto Us Is Come

Salvation unto us is come
By God’s free grace and favor.
Good works cannot avert our doom;
They help and save us never.
Faith looks to Jesus Christ alone,
Who did for all the world atone;
He is our one Redeemer.

All blessing, honor, thanks and praise,
To Father, Son, and Spirit,
The God who saved us by His grace,
All glory to His merit.
O Father in the heav’ns above,
The work begun performs Thy love,
Thy worthy name be hallowed.

Prayer

Jesus, Savior, thank You for saving me and reconciling me with my Heavenly Father. Amen.
