Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from eternity to eternity you are God. (Psalm 90:1-2 EHV)

Hymn ELH 35:1-2 All Glory Be to God on High

All glory be to God on high,
Who hath our race befriended!
To us no harm shall now come nigh,
The strife at last is ended.
God showeth His good will to men,
And peace shall reign on earth again;
O thank Him for His goodness!

We praise, we worship Thee, we trust,
And give Thee thanks forever,
O Father, that Thy rule is just
And wise and changes never.
Thy boundless power over all things reigns,
Done is whatever Thy will ordains;
Well for us that Thou rulest.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You spoke and all things came into being. Forgive my sins and preserve my faith throughout this New Year. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
