Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

“Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting!” (1 Chronicles 16:35-36 ESV)

Hymn  ELH 63:1,3  Now Thank We All Our God

Now thank we all our God
With hearts and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things hath done,
In whom His world rejoices,
Who from our mother’s arms
Hath blessed us on our way
With countless gifts of love
And still is ours today.

All praise and thanks to God
The Father now be given,
The Son, and Him who reigns
With them in highest heaven,
The one eternal God,
Whom earth and heav’n adore!
For thus it was, is now,
And shall be evermore.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come before You in thanksgiving for all of Your blessings to me.  Forgive me when I am ungrateful and give me joy and peace in my forgiveness, earned for me by Your Son, Jesus Christ.  In His name I pray. Amen.
