Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

But those who wait for the Lord will receive new strength. They will lift up their wings and soar like eagles. They will run and not become weary. They will walk and not become tired.  (Isaiah 40:31 EHV)

Hymn  ELH 43:1,7  Holy God, We Praise Thy Name

Holy God, we praise Thy name;
Lord of all, we bow before Thee.
All on earth Thy scepter claim,
All in heaven above adore Thee.
Infinite Thy vast domain,
Everlasting is Thy reign.

Spare Thy people, Lord, we pray,
By a thousand snares surrounded;
Keep us without sin today,
Never let us be confounded.
Lo, I put my trust in Thee;
Never, Lord, abandon me.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your daily protection of my body and soul. Give me strength each day through Your Word, and protect all those who suffer persecution for their faith in You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
