Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13 ESV)

Hymn  ELH 190:3-4  O Blest the House, Whate’er Befall

O blest the parents who give heed
Unto their children’s foremost need
And weary not of care or cost.
May none to them and heaven be lost!

Blest such a house; it prospers well.
In peace and joy the parents dwell,
And in their children’s lot is shown
How richly God can bless His own.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for providing Christian parents to raise and care for their children. Give them faith and courage to raise their children according to Your will. Give me a thankful heart for those who raised and cared for me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
