Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

They went on from there and passed through Galilee. He did not want anyone to know this, because he was teaching his disciples. He told them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill him. But three days after he is killed, he will rise.” But they did not understand the statement and were afraid to ask him about it. (Mark 9:30-32 EHV)

Hymn  ELH 260:3-4  Now Let Triumphant Faith Dispel

Who now His people shall accuse?
For God has justified!
Who now His people shall condemn?
The Lamb of God has died!

And He who died has ris’n again
Triumphant from the grave;
At God’s right hand for us He pleads,
Eternally to save.

Prayer

Jesus, my Savior, thank You for following Your Father’s plan for the salvation of all. Forgive my sins and give me joy and peace in the certain hope that just as You rose from the dead after three days, I too will rise from the grave to eternal life. Amen.
