Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (Matthew 5:45 ESV)

Hymn  ELH 12:1,2,4  Come, Thou Almighty King

Come, Thou almighty King;
Help us Thy name to sing;
Help us to praise.
Father all glorious,
O’er all victorious,
Come and reign over us,
Ancient of Days.

Jesus our Lord, descend;
From all our foes defend,
Nor let us fall;
Let Thine almighty aid
Our sure defense be made:
Our souls on Thee be stayed;
Lord, hear our call.

Come, holy Comforter;
Thy sacred witness bear
In this glad hour.
Thou who almighty art;
Now rule in every heart;
And ne’er from us depart,
Spirit of power.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You have promised to care for Your creation. Help me to be thankful for all that You provide for me each day. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
