Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

Therefore rid yourselves of all evil, all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all slander. Like newborn babies, crave the pure milk of the word so that by it you may grow up with the result being salvation. Certainly you have tasted that the Lord is good! As you come to him, the Living Stone, rejected by men but chosen by God and precious, you also, like living stones, are being built as a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, in order to bring spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:1-5 EHV)

Hymn ELH 484: 1  Christ Alone is Our Salvation

Christ alone is our salvation,
Christ the rock on which we stand;
Other than this sure foundation
Will be found but sinking sand.
Christ, His cross and resurrection,
Is alone the sinner’s plea;
At the throne of God’s perfection
Nothing else can set him free.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to crave the spiritual nourishment of Your Word. Through that Word, help me to grown in my faith. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
