Light for My Path Daily Devotiondevotions3

Bible Reading

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever.  Amen. (1 Timothy 1:15-17 ESV)

Hymn  ELH 429:1,5  Chief of Sinners Though I Be

Chief of sinners though I be,
Jesus shed His blood for me,
Died that I might live on high,
Lived that I might never die.
As the branch is to the vine,
I am His, and He is mine.

O my Savior, help afford
By Thy Spirit and Thy Word!
When my wayward heart would stray,
Keep me in the narrow way;
Grace in time of need supply
While I live and when I die.

Prayer

Jesus, my Savior, You came to save even the worst of sinners like me.  Thank You for Your love and mercy and for the sacrifice of
Your life to pay for all my sins.  Amen.
