Light for My Path Daily Devotiondevotions3

Bible Reading

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Romans 8:26 ESV)

Hymn ELH 387:1,5,6 Prayer Is The Soul’s Sincere Desire

Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire,
Unuttered or expressed;
The motion of a hidden fire
That trembles in the breast.

Prayer is the contrite sinner’s voice
Returning from his ways
While angels in their songs rejoice,
And cry, “Behold, he prays!”

O Thou, by whom we come to God,
The Life, the Truth, the Way!
The path of prayer Thyself hast trod;
Lord, teach us how to pray.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to trust in You for all things, knowing that You hear and answer all my prayers. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
