Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of a herald, who proclaims peace and preaches good news, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God is king!” (Isaiah 52:7  EHV)

Hymn  ELH 192:1-3  How Beauteous Are Their Feet

How beauteous are their feet,
Who stand on Zion’s hill!
Who bring salvation on their tongues,
And words of peace reveal.

How charming is their voice!
How sweet the tidings are!
“Zion, behold thy Savior King,
He reigns and triumphs here.”

How happy are our ears,
That hear this joyful sound,
Which kings and prophets waited for,
And sought, but never found.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Good News of my forgiveness and salvation in Christ and for all those You have called to bring Your Word to the world.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.
