Light for My Path Daily Devotiondevotions3

Bible Reading

Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. (Psalm 25:4-5 ESV)

Hymn  ELH 230:3,4  Speak, O Lord, Thy Servant Heareth

Lord, Thy words are waters living
Where I quench my thirsty need.
Lord, Thy words are bread life-giving:
On Thy words my soul doth feed.
Lord, Thy words will be my light
Through death’s vale and dreary night;
Yea, they are my sword prevailing
And my cup of joy unfailing.

Precious Jesus, I beseech Thee,
May Thy words take root in me;
May this gift from heaven enrich me
So that I bear fruit for Thee!
Take them never from my heart
Till I see Thee as Thou art,
When in heavenly bliss and glory
I shall greet Thee and adore Thee.

Prayer

Gracious Heavenly Father, Your Word teaches me the truth of my sinfulness and of my salvation through Your Son. Forgive my sins and lead me through Your Word to always trust in Christ alone for my salvation. In His name I pray. Amen.
