Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8 ESV)

Hymn  ELH 43:1,2,4  Holy God, We Praise Thy Name

Holy God, we praise Thy name;
Lord of all, we bow before Thee.
All on earth Thy scepter claim,
All in heaven above adore Thee.
Infinite Thy vast domain,
Everlasting is Thy reign.

Hark! the glad celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising;
Cherubim and seraphim,
In unceasing chorus praising,
Fill the heavens with sweet accord:
“Holy, holy, holy Lord!”

Holy Father, holy Son,
Holy Spirit, three we name Thee;
Though in essence only one;
Undivided God we claim Thee
And, adoring, bend the knee
While we own the mystery.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You rule over all things. Grant me what I need to live and teach me to trust in You for all things. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
