Light for My Path Daily Devotiondevotions3

Bible Reading

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6 ESV)

Hymn ELH 9:1-2 Come Down, O Love Divine

Come down, O Love divine;
Seek Thou this soul of mine,
And visit it with Thine own ardor glowing;
O Comforter, draw near,
Within my heart appear,
And kindle it, Thy holy flame bestowing.

O let it freely burn,
Till earthly passions turn
To dust and ashes in its heat consuming;
And let Thy glorious light
Shine ever on my sight
And clothe me round, the while my path illuming.

Prayer

O God, through the Holy Spirit You began a good work in me when You created my faith. Continue to nurture and build that faith through Word and Sacrament until my life ends or my Savior, Jesus Christ returns. In His name I pray. Amen.
