Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The one who does not love has not known God, because God is love. This is how God’s love for us was revealed: God has sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we may live through him. This is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, if God loved us so much, we also should love one another. (1 John 4:7-11 EHV)

Hymn    ELH 24:1,3   Lord, Open Thou My Heart to Hear

Lord, open Thou my heart to hear
And through Thy Word to me draw near;
Let me Thy Word ever pure retain;
Let me Thy child and heir remain.

To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Shall glory, praise, and honor be
Now and throughout eternity

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as You showed love to me, help me to show love to others.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.
