Light for My Path Daily Devotion

Bible Reading

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son to be born of a woman, so that he would be born under the law, in order to redeem those under the law, so that we would be adopted as sons.  And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts to shout, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son.And if you are a son, then you are also an heir of God through Christ. (Galatians 4:4-7 EHV)

Hymn ELH 227:14 Salvation Unto Us Is Come

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
In earth, as ’tis in heaven.
Keep us in life, by grace led on,
Forgiving and forgiven;
Save Thou us in temptation’s hour,
And from all ills; Thine is the pow’r,
And all the glory, Amen!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for planning my salvation from eternity and for sending Your Son to fulfill that plan, so that I can be assured of my inheritance of heaven through faith in Jesus.In His name I pray. Amen.
