It seems at times that our culture is adrift in an angry sea without any anchor or moorings and often directly opposed to the teachings of the Christian faith. Many recent laws passed throughout the land and recent court rulings stand in direct contradiction to the Word of God, causing great concern for the future of our nation and world. In these troubled times, it is important for all to remember that God does not change. Human laws and thinking become corrupted by sin and are bent to the will of sinful people, but the Word of God remains incorruptible. We continue to look to God and His Word alone for all our teachings and beliefs.
It is also essential for Christians to remember that the only hope for us and for our fallen world is the saving Gospel message: that Jesus Christ lived the perfect life that none of us can live and died to pay for our sins. There is no greater hope. There is no greater love. There is no other God.
“The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” (Isaiah 40:7-8 ESV)-Rev. Paul Fries
